Why Contribute Through First Giving?

Why are we doing a FirstGiving page (again), and why is it so important that it be forwarded over and over and over?

I've said many times that HDLM has the best supporters in the world, and not nearly enough of them. FirstGiving gives us an opportunity to reach thousands, even millions of people in a short time, and gives us the opportunity to reach the number of donors that would make this much more effortless, and spread the funding over so many people that much less will be needed per person.

For example, if the first 1,000 people who get the page site send it on to 20 people each, and those people each send it on to 20 people, and all those send it on to another 20 people each, and do that one more time, it is in front of 16,000,000 people! And if even as few as 2% of those donate. that is 320,000 new donors. Our financial picture would be wonderful, and we would be able to move to the much larger place, and care for hundreds more animals in need, all with a huge number of donors giving $10-25 per year. We would be coming to you far less often with funding appeals, and we would be sharing great news. And losing a few would be far less serious. And best of all, the entire campaign doesn't take money away from animal care, and it does require cooperation and assistance from everyone who receives the e-mail one time!
